Victim Services of York Region and Vaughan Community Health Centre are teaming up to create a safe place for women to seek help and support.
“There is a huge amount of crime and women abuse,” said Vivien Green, York Region Victim Services executive director. “Seventy percent of police calls are related to women abuse. It’s a big, big issue.”
Green said the Bridges Between Communities program is offering help to connect women with an ongoing service. (more)
