Suspect sought in Woodbridge bank robbery

WOODBRIDGE, Ont. - York police are looking for a suspect after a midday robbery at a Woodbridge bank.

On Sat., May 8 at about 1 p.m., a man went into the CIBC at 8535 Hwy. 27 and approached the teller.

He implied he had a gun and demanded money, police say.

The teller complied and the suspect fled the bank with some cash. No one was hurt in the incident.

Police describe the suspect as Asian, about 25 years old, with a black goatee, short black hair and a pockmarked face.

He was wearing glasses, a black baseball cap, black T-shirt and black pants.
