According to French public health figures, during the week of October 25, 4,189 children under the age of two were admitted to the emergency room due to bronchiolitis. Among them, 3,777 are under the age of one year and 1,395 have been hospitalized. Among the children admitted to the hospital, 1,289% were under the age of 1.
These numbers for bronchiolitis are of concern to health professionals, because the level of emergency visits is “higher than the previous three years”.
