Ukraine must arm itself. However, Duda, who met his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky in central Lviv in western Ukraine, said he would not defend himself without support. He blamed Poland for his decision.

The coalition will build a forward company of Leopard tanks. As you know, a number of formal requirements must be met, consent given and so on, Duda said in a joint press conference according to Polsat TV, as required, but because we want it to be an international alliance.

In the Polish Army, according to BV agencies, there are usually 14 Leopard 2 tanks in one company (those companies after those lots plus the tank of the company commander and the tank of his deputy), but in any entry block a company usually has only ten tanks (those companies after Those tanks and the commander’s tank companies).

    Germany didn’t get enough

At the moment it is not clear what the Polish head of the international coalition had in mind, the newspaper Ukraineska Pravda writes on its website. He indicated that the first tank would require Germany’s approval to re-export it, but information appeared yesterday that Berlin had not yet received such a quantity from the Allies. The Ukrainian newspaper added that Germany is aware of the escalation of the conflict.

After the meeting in Lviv, President Zelensky said that he saw very positive signs regarding the supply of tanks not only from Poland, but also from other countries.

Let’s make a coordinated decision. Zelensky said, according to the BBC, that only a hundred cannot help us deal with the Panthers, because we are fighting against thousands of Russian tanks. I do not want to name a specific country, said Zelensky, but let’s hope that today we will send one positive signal from afar regarding the supply of modern Western tanks.

According to the Financial Times, the British government has confirmed that it plans to deliver Challenger 2 tanks to Ukraine, and this will happen in cooperation with partners.

In the middle, Zelensky thus revealed that the treasure and the potential that will determine the development of his country are, first of all, Ukrainian fighters.

Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauzda stopped in Lviv. According to the media, it was written that Lithuania sent anti-aircraft defense to Ukraine, but did not specify the specific type. Dvi Vilnius supplied Kyiv with portable American Stinger anti-aircraft missile.

Two of them appeared for the first time in the Polish press, according to which German-made Leopard tanks should be delivered to Ukraine by a coalition of fallen states. In addition to the German and Polish armies, Leopard 2 tanks are in service in Denmark, Norway, Poland and Canada, as well as in Germany and Finland, which, however, are not members of NATO. The Netherlands, which operates hundreds of tanks, is currently renting Leopard 2 tanks from Germany.

According to commentators, Germany and Turkey are unlikely to abandon the Tigers due to tensions in their mutual relations.

On January 20, the United States held a meeting at the base in Ramstein, Germany, where representatives of countries providing military assistance to Ukraine met. NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said on Monday that the attack at Ramstein would involve additional arms supplies to Ukraine.

The Czech Republic and Slovakia will receive Leopard 2 tanks as a replacement for the T-72 machines and weapons provided by Ukraine; Last year they each got a piece they donated. Of the 44 Leopard 2 tanks ordered, Hungary also rented 12 tanks of the old version for training.
