The United States just revealed their roster for the World Championships, which will take place in just over a week on the Finland side. We were wondering which CH player(s) would be in the action.

We’ll finally get two players from the organization: defender Jordan Harris and potential Sean Farrell.

Introducing the 2022 US men’s national team squad! #men’s worlds 🇺🇸

    – USA Hockey May 5 2022

We knew that Jordan Harris had opportunities and it was good to see that he would have the opportunity to work on certain achievements in an international context. I would love to see the youngster go for miles out there in a competitive environment, as he did at WJC 2019-20.

Same for Shawn Farrell, who transferred to Team USA after participating in the Olympics. He has also represented his country in the past at U17 and U18.

This is clearly not a stellar team. There’s definitely Seth Jones out of this world, but there’s also Alex Galchenuk out of this world. This is normal because many players are either in the playoffs or injured.

In the Canadian, American players’ options were limited (besides the two that existed):

    • Cole Caufield
    • Christian Dvorak
    • Tyler Betlake
    • Ryan Bowling
    • Jeff Petri
    • Chris Weidman

Coffield had already said no, Petrie probably wanted some time with the family and I doubt the other guys were real options. Having said that, I take Dvorak before Chucky…

It remains to be seen if a good Canadian band will represent Flanelle. In other countries, I don’t see anyone representing the Canadian because Joel Jeremiah is a new dad.

    a lot of

Many sports teams work this way, starting with the Blue Jays.

This is not unique to the Stanley Cup playoffs. Teams took a similar approach during the regular season as well. https://t.co/07s6yBkF4q
