    Chris Moneymaker
    The first person to make it big in the world of online poker is Chris Moneymaker, who won $40.000 playing his favorite game.

    After this success he ended up winning even more money at the World Series Of Poker Main Event Tournament with over one million dollars worth of winnings! He definitely had a great year back in 2003.

    He started off playing $25 tournaments at the PokerStars website. He was only 22 years old at the time and it did not take him long to realize that he had a real knack for poker.

    By 2004, Chris Moneymaker had amassed over $60 million in winnings online, proving just how talented he really is! And he is not the only one because there are plenty of others out there who have done the same.

    Jaime Gold
    The second person to make it big in online poker was Jaime Gold, a competitive player from Beverly Hills California. He first started playing on PokerStars and Full Tilt Online Poker Network before moving onto live tournaments for money at casinos all over the world.

    After he started playing online, Jaime Gold began to win tournaments and cash games consistently and it only took him a few months before he was able to quit his job as an investment banker!

    He then went on to take second place in the 2003 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure $15k NL Hold’em event for over $300k worth of winnings. He has also won numerous other events and cash games on the internet as well as live tournaments worldwide.

    Vanessa Rousso
    The third person to make it big in online poker was Vanessa Rousso, a female poker star from Florida who began playing at the age of 21 years! She started out playing $11 tournaments on PokerStars before moving on to bigger and better things.

    She first achieved success by coming second place in a World Poker Tour event for over $900k worth of winnings!

    Just a couple of months later, she came third at the WPT Legends Of Poker Main Event Tournament where she won over six hundred thousand dollars for her new total earnings. Her total online earnings were over $11 million and she was only 23 years old at the time.

    Lastly, Vanessa Rousso went on to become a member of Team PokerStars Pro in 2009 and has been playing for them ever since!

    Tom Dwan
    The fourth person to make it big in online poker is Tom Dwan who first started playing on Full Tilt Poker and PokerStars before moving on to bigger things. He first started playing at the age of 16 years old, which is very young considering his incredible talent for poker!

    Tom Dwan was only 19 years old when he came third place in a World Series Of Poker $25k NL Hold’em event for over $500k worth of winnings. He has also won numerous other tournaments and cash games online as well as live events.

    In 2009, Tom Dwan became a member of Team Full Tilt Poker where he continues to play for them today!

    Gus Hansen
    The fifth person who made it big in poker was Gus Hansen from Denmark. When he first started playing on the internet there was not a lot of information about him, but once he started winning tournaments and cash games consistently it was only a matter of time before his name became well known all around the world.

    Gus Hansen won $750k in an event at the Aussie Millions Poker Championship Event back in 2005 which helped to launch his new poker career!

    He became well known after playing $25k NL Hold’em Heads-Up Sit & Go for over six million dollars at Full Tilt Poker in 2008, which made him the biggest winner of all time online.
    Gus Hansen has also won numerous other tournaments and cash games on the internet as well as live poker events worldwide.

    Brian Townsend
    The sixth person to make it big in online poker was Brian Townsend who started playing at the age of 16 years old. He first became well known after he won $803k for coming third place in a World Poker Tour Event back in 2006.

    Just two months later, he came second place at the WPT Bay 101 Shooting Stars Tournament where he won over $650k for his new total earnings.
    Brian Townsend was only 19 years old when he made it big in online poker which is very young considering how talented and successful, he has become!

    He went on to win many more cash games, tournaments, and events on the internet as well as live poker worlds.

    Phil Ivey
    The seventh person to make it big in poker was Phil Ivey who is a young, talented, and successful online poker player from the United States.

    He first started playing on Full Tilt Poker before moving on to bigger things such as winning numerous tournaments and cash games at the World Series Of Poker where he has won over five million dollars!

    In 2009, Phil Ivey became a member of Team Full Tilt Poker where he continues to play for them today!

    Daniel Cates
    The eighth person who made it big in poker was Daniel Cates also known as Jungleman12. He first started playing online games at the age of 13 years old, which is very young considering his incredible talent and passion for poker!

    He first started playing on Full Tilt Poker and PokerStars before moving on to bigger things, where he won over $12 million in cash games.

    Daniel Cates became well known after coming second place at the 2009 Aussie Millions Poker Championship Event for over one million dollars! He has also played against Tom Dwan (who is number four on this list) in a $500k match and won!

    Ilari Sahamies
    The ninth person to make it big in poker was Ilari Sahamies who first started playing at the age of 21 years old. He first became well known after he won over one million dollars for coming second place at the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure Event back in 2009.

    Just two weeks later, he came second place at the PokerStars Sunday 500 Tournament which helped him to win over $500k in cash games.

    Ilari Sahamies is well known for his love of live poker tournaments and cash games as well as being a member of Team Full Tilt Poker where he continues to play today!
