Tuukka Rask plans to return with the Boston Bruins this year and intends to accept a small contract to give his team more freedom in managing the payroll.

Raske underwent hip surgery in June and is recovering. However, he believes a return in January is possible.

However, the goalkeeper is currently a free agent without compensation and can choose his destination. However, the main player has only played for the Bruins since his debut in the National Hockey League (NHL) and seems to place a lot of importance on loyalty.

“I played for a team when I was in Finland and I was lucky enough to be part of only one NHL team,” he said on microphone for radio station WEEI 93.7 FM, Wednesday.

“For me, it’s just about being proud to play for a team and a team. I have no reason to go after money and go elsewhere. Boston is my home. I’ve always wanted to play and stay here. So money wouldn’t be an issue. We had a conversation with [le directeur général des Bruins, Don Sweeney] And I would be a cheap keeper for them.”

Raske is 306-163-66, which is a 2.27 goal-for-average and 0.921 average save in 14 seasons. He won the Vezina Cup in 2014 and led the Bruins to the Stanley Cup Finals twice, in spring 2013 and 2019.

In his absence, Linus Olmark, who agreed to a four-year, $20 million contract this summer, and Jeremy Swayman are expected to be Bruce Cassidy’s favorite goalkeeper.
