(TORONTO) Evgeny Dadunov found the back of the net 2:19 in overtime and the Ottawa senators returned in a stunning view to beat Toronto Maple Leaves 6-5 late Monday.
The senators were forced into an additional term when they scored four unanswered goals, including Dadunov’s first goal of the match, late in the third game.
In overtime, Mitch Marner and Morgan Reilly were suspended and Thomas Chabot Dadunoff fired on a breakup. The Russian striker fired a good shot at Frederick Andersen’s right arm to clinch a victory for the Senators.

Ottawa were trailing 5-1 late in the second half when Nick Paul and Artem Zob, thanks to his first goal in the National Hockey League, and Connor Brown put the needle. In Triumph, Drake Patherson hit the mark as well.

Aston Matthews scored twice and assists Maple Leaves, who lost their second match in a row. Upon his return to play, Joe Thornton scored a goal and a pass while Travis Boyd and Pierre Ingeval completed the scoring.
Anderson surrendered six times in 31 shots. The Dane was outmatched with only 2:01 remaining in the match, when Dadunov hit a fast puck after Brady Tkachuk deflected.
