ith CBD being fully legal in Canada, it’s only a matter of time before you want to learn more about it. With the rise of CBD on the market, Canadians can purchase CBD from dispensaries or online stores. Buying CBD online is just as easy as buying it physically.

But there are things every new user should know when buying CBD online. Our list of 5 tips will help you make the right and safe purchase.

    Always Buy From Certified Retailers

Once you decide to buy CBD online, you’ll quickly realize that you have tons of options available. The CBD industry is massive. More so, it grows rapidly by the year. This means there will be plenty of CBD retailers happy to do business with you. But you shouldn’t go with the first one you find online.

The right way of buying CBD online is all about doing research. You’ll need to do your research and find out which online CBD retailers are certified. In Canada, CBD is heavily regulated. This means businesses that want to sell CBD products will need to be in full compliance with the Cannabis Act and its many regulations.

The Cannabis Act simply means that businesses need to obtain licenses to sell CBD in Canada. This goes for both online stores and physical dispensaries and stores.

    Understand What You’re Buying

Not all CBD products are made the same. If you want to make the right purchase, and one that will guarantee the best possible experience, then you’ll need to familiarize yourself with the three types of CBD. Those are full spectrum, broad spectrum, and CBD isolate.

The reason why this is so important is that products made with each respective type are indeed different. Full spectrum CBD contains all the compounds of the hemp plant, including Tetrahydrocannabinol or THC. This shouldn’t worry you if you’re looking for a THC-free experience as THC content in full spectrum cannot go over 0.3%. This amount is nowhere near potent enough to get you high, but enough to provide you with the “entourage effect”.

Broad spectrum might sound similar to full spectrum. That’s because it is quite similar. It also contains all the compounds of the hemp plant, with the only exclusion being THC. Broad spectrum CBD is recommended for those that want a THC-free CBD experience.

And the last type is CBD isolate. Products made from isolated CBD are the purest. Purity rates go as high as 99%, and this is quite possibly the biggest selling point. Whenever buying products made with CBD isolate, you’re getting only CBD. During the making of this type, we remove every compound from the help and are left with only CBD in the form of powder or crystals.

    Check the Product Label

One of the more important things to do to make sure you’re making a safe purchase is to check the label of the product. The label contains all kinds of useful information such as ingredients used, CBD quantity, expiration date, and more.

The product label will also tell you if you’re buying full spectrum, broad spectrum, or CBD isolate. Even when buying online, there are still ways to read the product label. If the website in question allows you to zoom in on the product image, you might be able to read the label. If not, then you can write to them and ask them to provide an image of the label for the particular product.

Go Through the Ingredients On the Label

When on the subject of product labels, you’ll want to go through each and every ingredient listed on it. Chances are, you’ll know most of the ingredients and what they do. But if you happened to be unfamiliar with one or two, then go online and check them out.

Simply type the name of the ingredient into Google and do your research as to what the particular ingredient is and does. Is it natural? What does it offer? Will it boost the properties of CBD?

You will find out all kinds of information regarding the product if you do thorough research on the ingredients used. Canadians shouldn’t forget this one as it is one of the most important ways to make sure you’re safely buying CBD online.

Verify Where the Hemp Is Grown

Online sellers in Canada either supply the CBD from a farm and make products, or they resell. Regardless, you’ll need to verify where the hemp used in the making of the product is grown. Trusted online retailers such as Zamnesia.com will often work with suppliers to provide high quality cannabis products.

The online brand will then publish it on its website for users to see. A test or quality result contains useful information such as the environment where the hemp is grown, the quality of the CBD, and more. You might find other information such as if the farm uses organic fertilizers. Whenever buying quality products online, do expect the price to be somewhat more expensive.

    Final Thoughts

Shopping online makes sense most for Canadians living in small cities. Of course finding CBD oil in Toronto is easy and since Vaughan is nearby, that might be an option.

Regardless of where you live though, shopping online in Canada for CBD products will offer you the best prices and selection and that’s not expected to change.
