“I feel that my three-week training was helpful while the competition was off, at Christmas, and that refers to the young athlete. I found my basics and this is only positive for my progress.”

Since the first event on the development circuit on Thursday in Germany, Pernot has effectively resumed his good old habits by completing three quick laps and hitting ten goals on several attempts, allowing him to reach 16th, the best performance among the Canadians.

“I was losing my speed and my navel at the end of the race on the World Cup circuit. So I am happy that I kept my steadiness in both shooting and sprinting. Saturday, I also did well with a score of 9 out of 10 for a 36th place. In the relay, I still showed Stability at all levels and we finished 10th, which is very satisfying, “says Jules Bernot.

Although he left the big league to join the development circuit, which was only recently restarted after a forced hiatus due to the pandemic, Burnout says he is confident of finding the best in the world in the short term.

From Wednesday, he will participate in his fourth round in Arber in Germany. This time, a 15 km individual is waiting for him and four shots. Friday, it will be the turn of the enemy, and Saturday, the relay.

“I participate in a lot of races on the development circuit. I was a substitute for the national team and I hope to benefit from my presence in the European Championship in Poland to achieve excellent results and regain my place with the Canada team in time for the world championship to be held in two weeks in Slovenia,” says Bernot.
