Professional wrestling star John Hopper, better known as Brody Lee in All Elite Wrestling and Luke Harper in WWEHe died on Saturday. He was 41 years old.

All Elite Wrestling confirmed Huber’s death in a statement.

In an industry full of good people, Jon Huber was exceptionally respected and loved in everything – a fierce and captivating talent, a thoughtful mentor and a very kind spirit that contrasted with his character as Mr. Brody Lee.

“John’s love for his wife Amanda, and his children Brody and Nolan, was evident to all of us who were fortunate to spend time with him, and send our love and support to his lovely family, today and always. John’s popularity among his peers and the influence on the wrestling world was global and surpassed AEW, so this loss will be felt by many. For a long time “.

Pat Patterson, WWE WRESTLING SUPERSTAR, died at age 79

Amanda, Hopper’s wife, wrote on Instagram that her husband had passed away from a lung problem unrelated to COVID.

“I never wanted to write these words. My heart is broken. The world saw it as the amazing brodielee (fka Luke Harper) but he was my best friend, my husband and the greatest father I have ever met. There are no words that could express the love I feel or how broken I am now. He passed surrounded by love after an uphill battle with a non-Covid lung problem. The mayoclinic clinic is literally the best team of doctors and nurses in the world who have surrounded me with everlasting love. “
